April Goals Recap and May Goals

I have to say that my goal completion was pretty much just so-so this month. I did pilates, lifted weights, and used my Rosetta Stone software, but I didn't always make my goal of 3 times per week. I get really upset with myself when I set a goal and then am not 100% successful, but I try to remind myself that just setting the goal usually means I focus on that exercise or activity more than I normally would, so even if I don't complete it 3 times a week, I am still doing it more than I did before. I am not trying to justify, but I constantly have a gazillion goals and I realize it's not the end of the world if a few flop.

I was 79% on completing daily To Do lists and am happy with that.

I love chocolate too much to give it up completely...

I read three books for pleasure this month: The Help (AWESOME BOOK!), Perfect Match, and Nineteen Minutes. I ordered Jodi Picoult's newest book, but I haven't received it yet. I am looking forward to reading that during the month of May! I also read two teaching related books (which technically are for pleasure too!) since they are not for a class or anything.

I haven't really thought about new goals for May until now.... but here goes...

School Goals:
  • "attend" weekly politics & policy class via skype (3:00-6:00 am). FIVE more to go!
  • get an A in policy class. This is a much more challenging class for me and I love it, but I think I will have to work harder to get an A.
 Health & Wellness Goals:
  • Continue Pilates 3 times per week
  • Add ab video 3 times per week
  • Workout at least 5 days a week
  • Monitor sugar intake/limit sweets to once per week (more reasonable than none at all!)
Personal Goals:
  • 80% or more on to do lists?
  • Rosetta Stone 3 times per week
  • Read up on working with poor spellers
What are your goals this month?

I would love for you to share the resources you use for helping students who struggle with spelling!

OK...I want to know more about Rosetta Stone. Do you like it? Do you think that it works? I am thinking about trying it but have not know anyone that has used it to know if I should try it. Any thoughts?

Looks like great goals. I think you set your goals really high so it's okay if you don't reach them 100 percent all the time :)

I'm compiling a list of summer reads and The Help is definitely on it :). My goal this month is to get through nine IEPs without going off the deep end...
