My Bucket is Full

This week I finally read Have You Filled A Bucket? to both of my classes. I have read many blog posts about this book and I agree, it is awesome! The kiddos were really excited about thinking of ways to be bucket fillers and I started receiving lots of compliments on my shoes, necklace, shirt etc. One little guy drew this picture of me. The first thing I thought was, wow I look really fat (hehe), but he accompanied the gift with the words, "Mrs. Sneaker, I love you. You are a nice teacher."

My bucket definitely overflowed with that one....

Last year one of our secret readers read this book to my kids. As I was listening I was kind of thinking um... wow this is kind of corny but (like always happens when I think something is corny) the kids LOVED it. Compliments galore haha

Kids at my school are ga ga for bucket filling. Developmentally - it's just easier for them to talk about their feelings using bucket language. I have kids coming up to me every day saying, "my bucket got emptied" or "my bucket just got filled by so and so"

warms my heart (bucket).
