I love getting together with my cohort group and I always feel renewed and motivated when I leave them. I am setting goals for the term and aiming to have a final version of my next paper by mid-December. Ideally, I would be able to defend prior to Winter break, but I don't know how likely that is. Here's hoping! I have a lot of writing to do in order to get a first draft ready by October 15th, but once I get back into the habit of writing daily, I think that is feasible.
I am mostly planned for the week and feeling really organized, so once I get math in order, everything should be ready to go. We are finally into our "real" schedule and so far things are going very well. The kiddos are doing a nice job with everything so far and I am happy to have routine in my life again...although I do miss the lazy days of summer.
I am finally starting to get some energy back, so I participated in our jogathon with the kids on Friday and went for a run with my friend Janine this morning. Daily exercise needs to come back into my life!!! I am gearing up to make something yummy for dinner and then I have a date with Jill and Janine for The Amazing Race premier tonight (and I think Desperate Housewives starts too!). Then it will be off to bed to start a new week.

Glad to hear things are going well. I had a super busy weekend too that did not involve a lot of sleep so I'm torn between wanting another few days to relax and being happy to get back into the routine of the school week (where at least I know I'll be in bed early every night!). We are starting our "real" schedule (mostly) this week too which I am excited about. I'm trying to start Daily Five but nervous about my kids who can't understand or speak English. My first year trying Daily Five I did not have success with my ELL kids, so I'm hoping it will be different this year. If not, I think I'll try to schedule it when they are getting pulled out.
Good luck with your writing. Hope you can get a draft together in time so you can be less stressed in the beginning of 2011!
